The photos and video installations in the exhibition - the majority created by young Iranian artists born after the 1979 Iranian Revolution - came to northern California originally for separate exhibitions organized by the San Francisco Arts Comission and by the Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco. The works are being brought together and re-installed now in the East Bay to make available the vision and work of these artists to new audiences, particularly in light of recent events in Iran. Above all, the exhibition confirms a growing concern among Iranian citizens in issues of self-expression and exploration of personal freedom. Featured artists include Neda Razavaipour, Homayoun Askari Sirizi, Mehraneh Atashi, Mahboube Karamli, Morteza Khaki, Meysam Mahfouz, Mehran Mohajer, Parisa Taghizadeh, Sanaz Mazinani and Parham Tagioff.
