In Josifov's performances the body is used as a medium to translate personal and cultural experience into a broader context. His work is based on psychoanalytic perception and the cultural and moral realties of contemporary living. The subjects of his work are many: identity, death, loss, social commentary, the limits of the body. He uses concept as the first and most crucial part of his process; his medium (the body) and its symbolic function supports the concept as an element.
